client/contact database

Hi all,

I am working on my first install of wordpress as a CMS, it’s going pretty well so far but then i got thrown this one:

the client wants a way to manage a list of clients, as well as send out a newsletter.

I’ve been looking around and trying a few different plugins but nothing I’ve found is really suitable. Has anyone done something like this with WordPress? Any plugin combinations that might be able to achieve this?
