Editor Panel Missing

    I am missing the visual editor on my blog site. I have removed all pluggins. Do I have to reinstall wordpress, or will an upgrade fix the problem?

    If I reinstall, how do I restore the posts that already exist.

    Sorry but I am very new at this.
