Installing WordPress locally on Mac OS X

I am trying to set up WordPress locally on my Mac. I’ve read tons of instructional websites, but I still cannot get it to work. I have downloaded and installed MAMP and I already have an archived WordPress database that I would like to use (rather than create a new one). I am trying to restore some old blog posts, so that is why I’m trying to import the old WordPress database into MAMP rather than create a new one. However, I cannot get WordPress to install correctly. Can someone give me some guidance on what I need to do? Below is a recap:
