Import/Sync Not Working

    Hello,
    I have tried to import/sync products on my site for a while now and it doesn’t appear to be working at all.

    Today I have re-authenticated with Square and made sure that the product system of record is set to square (as I sell online as well as offline) but the importing just isn’t happening – it’s not updating product inventories at all.

    Hi there!

    As a first step, could you send us your **System Status Report**, it would help us to understand your site setup a bit better. You can find it via **WooCommerce > Status**. Select **Get system report** and then **Copy for support**. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your reply.

    Hi @christaylortf. Thank you for sharing the system report.

    Can you please confirm that your products have the same SKU on Square and WooCommerce? This is necessary for the sync to work correctly.

    Please try these steps

    1. Enable Square logging in WooCommerce > Settings > Square
    2. Import new products from Square from WooCommerce > Settings > Square. This will not only create new products in WooCommerce but will also ensure that the correct products are synced.

    Please let us know if the issue persists afterwards. If it does, please copy and paste the Square log in WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Click on the dropdown to locate the log. Also, share a screenshot of your settings in WooCommerce > Settings > Square. I recommend following the instructions at https://snipboard.io/ and sharing the link after upload to easily share screenshots.

    Yes the SKU codes are the same. I did the steps you asked and it hasn’t resolved the issues.

    Hi @christaylortf. Could you please manually do an import to update the log and share the new log with me? I’m looking for any information about import, but unfortunately, I didn’t find any such info in the previous log.

    Also, when you say the import is not happening, could you please provide more details. Are new products from Square not being created in WooCommerce or are existing products not updated with data and stock?

    Please share an example of one affected product set up in Square so I can search for it in the new log.

    Hi,
    Sorry is there something else we can do here? I followed the steps again and I’ve got the same sort of output again but I don’t think that’s what you’re looking for.

    We are trying to make sure that the existing products in Woo are being updated with the stock (stock held in square), but this doesn’t seem to happen.

    What can we do?

    Hi Chris. To summarize, you’re using Square as your system of record. Your products in WooCommerce are not being updated with the inventory from Square.

    You’ve run an import from WooCommerce > Settings > Square (note that this needs to be done every time you create new products).

    You’ve confirmed that the SKUs for the products are the same in WooCommerce and Square.

    For the next steps, I recommend the following:

    • Double check that your products in Square are assigned to the location set up in the plugin’s settings, which is “JB Artisan Crafts Limited” according to your screenshot.
    • Confirm with your host that background processing/loopback connections are enabled (as required by Square)
