Search results are missing books.

I have a couple of issues.

We have a list of over 200 books all attached to certain authors. The problem is that some of the books are not showing up against the authors surname like ‘hotakainen’ – it just shows one book even though he has three others books listed in the products.

I have re-indexed the site in the settings but that doesn’t seem to add the books back into the list.

Secondly the show all link from the results list only displays the single book at the top of the list. How can we display all the search results on a single page? We’re using Divi child so can use the theme builder to generate the results.

For your example with ‘hotakainen’ – can you please give me the link to other products with this author?

The full surname removes items from the list I’ve just found…typing ‘hotaka’ lists more but full name only gives one result.

Hi,

Looks like I understand the issue.
You see product https://www.siltalapublishing.fi/kirjat/jumalan-sana/ when searching for ‘hotakainen’ because product has this word inside its content.
Other product just has taxonomy with this word.

So have several option here.
– You can just add author name to the content of each product.
– If author taxonomy is product category or tag – than just enable this search sources from the plugin settings page.
– If author taxonomy is some custom taxonomy or attribute – than searching for them is only possible with pro plugin version.

The products themselves all have the author name as a custom field using ACF. So it’s not picking up this data from the product pages without using your Pro version?

Free plugin version doesn’t have feature to search for products custom fields. This option available only with pro version.
