I have a quiz I created and one of the sample quizzes that came with the plugin download on a page. In both cases, every time I try complete the quiz and click the “See Result” button I get the message “Sorry. We are unable to store your data.”

I had tried this plugin on March 30, and it worked. Now it doesn’t. I deleted the plugin, reinstalled it and set up my quiz and the sample again with no luck.

I’m trying to convince my manger to buy the pro upgrade, but I’m having a hard time doing that when I can’t get the basic version to work as a demo.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @mreinert ,

    Thank you for the topic.
We have just tested the quizzes on your website and both quizzes worked properly.

Could you please the issue still persists for you or resolved?

    Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to look at this for me. I did see your survey responses in our results, so the problem must have to do with my computer. I still can’t get it log my answers.

As long as it works for the rest of the world. That’s the important part.

    Thank you for your reply.

Probably it is a cache issue.
If you have a caching plugin, please clear the cache and try to reload with CTRL+F5.

Please let me know about the results.

I was able to save the results once I moved the quiz to a new page. That seemed to clear out whatever was causing it to get stuck.

Thank you very much for your help.

I seem to have the same problem – after submission the test just crashes, freezes the page for a moment with a weird condensed results box with lots of text on top of each other. Then I get the same error.

I disabled W3 Total Cache and cleared my browser cache, but this didn’t help, still have the problem.

I tried to create another quiz using the same questions and there was no problem there.

Can it be because of the size of the quiz? Mine has 273 questions, and when I run the same quiz questions in batches of under 100, it works just fine. But I would very much like to run it all as a single quiz. Can this be done?

    Hi @simonfokt ,

    Thank you for the topic.
Probably, the problem is the size of content you trying to load.
As long as it is the Javascript quiz, it is loading all the questions at once and in this case, with 273 questions the size of the content (HTML) is very big.

IMO, increasing some parameters from the server (hosting) may help in this case.
But, anyway it is not recommended to use so much content on one page.

    Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply! Is there some way to not load all the questions at the same time? Split the quiz into smaller parts, but still have all the results appear together?

Or perhaps have several smaller quizzes, but all of them adding up to a single grade, and appearing in a single results table in the admin panel?

    Thank you for your reply.

I got it, but unfortunately, there isn’t such a feature yet.
It is another type of quiz (not Javascript).

We are planning to make such a quiz, probably as a separate plugin.

Anyway, I will let you know as soon as there is any update.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Thanks!

A follow-up question: how will the plugin manage if I split the quiz into smaller chunks, but several people are doing it at the same time and try to submit at the same time? Will that cause the same error to some of those people?

Thank you for your reply @simonfokt .

So, you mean making a quiz with a small number of questions?
If so, then there will not be any issue.

Taking a quiz simultaneously will not cause an issue from the plugin side.
Again you need to discuss it with your hosting provider.

There is no any kind of limitation from the plugin side.

Thanks and have a nice weekend.

    Thanks! That’s good to know.
You mentioned that ‘increasing some parameters from the server (hosting) may help in this case’ – can you clarify what parameters?

    Plugin Author Ays Pro

    (@ays-pro)

    Unfortunately, nope.
There are a lot of parameters and it depends on your website, content, user’s count and so on.

Just to let you know – I contacted my host and they say the basic package I have is still hardly used, even at the very moment when I submit the test. So it seems that it’s the plugin that struggles with submitting the content, not the host.

This means that despite the fact that I like QuizMaker a lot, I might need to switch to a different plugin. Do you know what alternatives might have better capacity to deal with a large quiz?

    Hi Dear @simonfokt ,

    Thank you for the information.
As long as there isn’t any limitations in the plugin Free version as well, probably there is a conflict with another plugin or theme.
We need to examine your website to understand is there any issue or not.
