Autoptimize does not do page caching, so you definitively need WP Super Cache or similar. Question of course is if it is working correctly at the moment?
Well it’s been more than a moment. So is there any way that you can confirm on your end if WP Super Cache is playing well with Autoptimize, because the reason I installed it is because it was one of the ones recommended on your description page to be installed to work in conjunction with Autoptimize. But if it’s not doing anything then it’s just taking up space and resources.
Generally; yes, you need a page cache.
But I can’t tell you if WP Super Cache is working, as I don’t have your site’s URL 🙂
Here’s the URL: https://bulkcomments.net
I pressed the test inside WP super cache and it says everything is OK, but again, I have my doubts because like I said I haven’t seen anything from that cache since I installed your plugin. It’s always empty.
Seems to be working as:
1. the Time to First Byte (server response time) is low (around 0.6s)
2. I see below comments in the HTML;
<!-- Dynamic page generated in 1.334 seconds. -->
<!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2020-04-05 01:44:40 -->
<!-- super cache -->
so all is well 🙂

Hmmm ok…but I’m still wondering why I never have to empty WP Super Cache. It’s just odd that it always shows 0 cached pages and 0 expired pages ever since I installed Autoptimize. Oh well…maybe it’s doing something…I guess.
I think it always shows that by default, try clicking the “Regenerate cache stats” link for it to calculate the cache statistics? 🙂
