Adding entry-meta, removing entry-footer

Removing the entry-footer is rather simple. There are a couple of topics that have helped me achieve the result, like this one and that one. So, I know how to remove the entry-footer and make my page full-width, so half of the problem is already solved.

However, I want to remove the entry-footer and create entry-meta. There is one topic for that, but it is not very detailed. I have almost zero understanding of PHP or making a child theme, but it seems like that’s what would be required to figure this out. I would greatly appreciate any help. I would like to have an entry-meta under the title that shows posted date, categories, and tags.
