• Google says: Tracking not installed. It’s visible in the footer. I even tried deleting the code at google and generating a new one, but still no luck… Thanks

    Here is the code- As you can see, it’s right above the /body tag.

    My blog is http://pin-upgirls.org

    <!– Google Analytics for WordPress | http://yoast.com/wordpress/google-analytics/ –>
    <script type=”text/javascript”>
    var gaJsHost = ((“https:” == document.location.protocol) ? “https://ssl.&#8221; : “http://www.&#8221;);
    document.write(unescape(“%3Cscript src='” + gaJsHost + “google-analytics.com/ga.js’ type=’text/javascript’%3E%3C/script%3E”));
    </script>
    <script type=”text/javascript”>
    try {
    var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker(“UA-8960596-6”);
    // Cookied already:
    pageTracker._trackPageview();
    } catch(err) {}
    </script>
    <!– End of Google Analytics code –>
    </body>
    </html>

    Hey.. it’s working now!

    Sorry… I guess I didn’t wait long enough for it to take effect.

    Thanks

    I have four sites using WordPress 2.8.6-2.9.1 that have the latest version of the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin on them (3.2.5), and Google says: Tracking not installed. I can see the code when I view the source on every one of these sites – and it looks like the above person’s example. I’ve waited several days to see if Google would eventually pick them up and tried to have Google re-check the status – and nothing.

    I have a lot of other sites (still running various versions of WordPress 2.8 and older versions of this plugin) that are still running just fine – Google says tracking IS installed.

    Most of the sites (working and non) are on the same hosting, so it’s not host-specific.

    These are the only plugins active across all 4 non-working GA installs/the only ones that could have a potential conflict I can’t find –
    Akismet 2.2.7
    Blog Icons 0.5.1
    Google Analytics for WordPress 3.2.5
    Robots Meta 3.2.5

    Privacy settings on 3 out of the 4 sites are open.

    Trying to track down what the problem is and find a solution to this – anyone have any ideas?
