    1. login in the admin dashboard. The version is shown there
    2. text-color: #F00; in your stylesheet (will be horrible red 🙂 )
    3. is it a zip? from the admin dashboard

Oh Peter thank you for the prompt reply! Yes it’s a zip I just dont know where to upload it on the dashboard?

When I say noob I mean I literally have no clue! Lol. Am just reading up on it all now! Will try what you suggest but hope you don’t mind if I have to ask for clarity! Laura

If you change the font-color for posts in the styesheet (style.css), then it’ll apply to ALL posts (new and existing).

This is theme specific though, so if you upload and activate a new theme, the styles of the new theme will apply. If you want me to be very specific, you’ll have to supply a URL to your site.

The new theme: in your admin dashboard, click ‘Appearance’, ‘Add new theme’,’upload’.

    Hi Peter

So I’m in “My Dashboard” – where is the version shown please. I think the stress has made me blind! lol

Yes it;s a zip – could you possibly give me a quick step by step to uploading the zip file so I get my custome template. I was so pleased I managed to design it and now I can’t use it!

    Thanks Laura

where is the version shown please

In the Admin Footer – right-hand side.

To upload your new theme, you need to FTP into your site and upload the unzipped theme folder to wp-content/themes/
