Import fails halfway through

    I have exported out of my old site (localhost) successfully. When I try to import the exported file into my live site’s WordPress dashboard, the import slowly goes to 53.18%, stops there, and eventually there is a message stating import failed.

    The file is ~265MB, I am using the extension to enable imports uo to 512MB, so file size should not be a problem. Do I need to change any other settings for the import to work?

    There is probably a restriction on the maximum file size that can be stored on the hard disk.
    Reach over to your hosting provider and ask if they can temporarily allow you to store larger files.
