MetaSlider Widget Not Working
-
Hello.
For some reason, the MetaSlider Widget and/or Shortcode will not work correctly in the Sidebar Area on my website. The slider does not scroll through the images and only shows the first image in the slideshow. The shortcode seems to work fine at the top of my homepage though.
I currently have both the Shortcode and the Widget at the bottom of the Sidebar for testing and evaluation.
Here are some of my current WordPress installation specs for your review:
WordPress: v.5.3.2
WordPress Twenty Sixteen Theme
PHP: v.7.3.2
Elementor Plugin: v.2.9.7
MetaSlider: v.3.16.0
WP-Optimize v.3.0.18
etc.Any thoughts on why the Widget is not working correctly?
Thanks.

Hi,
Under the “Advanced Settings”, can you please check the Print JS and Print CSS options? Does that resolve the issue?
Regards,
BryleThat’s strange. Now the Shortcode is working in the Sidebar, but still not the Widget. Huh.
@bcrodua all (3) items are checked.
(X) Print CSS
(X) Print JS
(X) No conflict modeI posted my response above before I read your post. I have not made any changes to the ‘Advanced Settings’ above. It’s very strange, now neither option is working again.
Any thoughts?
Hi,
You won’t be able to use the same slideshow on the same page without some extra work. The easiest way would be to duplicate the original slideshow and use the copy in the sidebar. If you really need it to be the exact same slideshow for both I’ll have to give you some custom code, but at that point you won’t be able to use the settings area anymore to tweak settings.
Ah-Haaa. I never even considered that as a possibility.
Thank you @kbat82, removing the Main Slider from the homepage did the trick. Both the Shortcode and/or the Widget work now in the Sidebar. I have chosen to use the Shortcode for my particular format.
Cheers — Joseph
