    Hello everyone, anyone.

I am having trouble installing wordpress onto my host (powweb),
I have edited the config file correctly, WordPress, the user name I created in powweb db manager, user password I created in powweb db manager, and the name of my database host which is USERNAME.powwebmysql.com.

I set the auth stuff with the generator and left everything else as is.

I put all the wordpress files into a sub directory ‘blog’

When I go to open the install page I get this WordPress>>Error

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the WordPress database.

    Are you sure it exists?
Does the user jayohxxv have permission to use the WordPress database?
On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_WordPress. Could that be the problem?

I’m sure it exists (powweb even creates it for you by default) and I double checked all the other questions to no avail.

    The URL is http://freedommomentum.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php

Can anyone see where I may have gone wrong?

It looks like you figured it out. Was one of the entries the wp-config incorrect?

    Hah, yeah.
No Powweb is just kind of wack. I just created a different/ my own db, different name and set everything else accordingly.

    Thanks for the attention numeeja!
