Paginate a post based on length | WordPress.org

Hey everyone, I would like to limit the length of my posts by automatically adding pagination, but I can’t seem to figure out if WordPress supports this particular feature. I would like to do this without having to add any tags to the post itself. Any ideas? Thanks,

I’m sorry, I was trying to do this automatically, without the use of tags like nextpage. Is there a way to do this?

How can it happen automatically? You have to decide where the page breaks go.

I would like to have the page break based on the word count of the post, as you can with the_excerpt();

Oh, I get it. It’s not very easy to work with the_content_limit, so try a plugin to modify the length of the_excerpt among other attributes, like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/excerpt-editor/
