Different sidebars per user

    I would like to know how can i actually make my custom users have an especific sidebar menu, in IE:

    I have 3 types of custom users; managers, advisors and regional managers, i want each of these users to have different sidebars options.

    Or more likely is there a fuction to actually retrive the current user’s role?
