I logged in to a clients site to update plugins and then recieved this message:

Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home1/dthenry1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/classes/wp-security-file-scan.php on line 176

Now I can’t login to the admin dashboard.

here is what I’ve tried to fix the problem:
    1. In the FTP I’ve deleted the all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall plugin folder
    2. I’ve installed a new all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall plugin folder
    3. I’ve disabled all plugins
    4. I’ve turned off the themes.
    5. I’ve updated my php version to 7

And still no luck. I still keep receiving the same error message.
    please help

    Hi,

    5. I’ve updated my php version to 7

Which PHP version have you updated too?

    Thank you

I have the same problem, and now can’t login to my page!
I was updating to the version 4.4.3

@mkypriscilla, can you start a new support thread? It is much easier for us to manage one issue at a time per person.

    Thank you
