Menus appear in gallery

    I have a problem where I created and album page and have a group of galleries. If you click on one of the galleries the lightbox pops up but it shows the menus of the website in the lightbox instead of just the images. How can I fix so only the photos display and not the entire webpage?

    Basically, a lightbox popup window of each gallery appears, but it has the full website navigation and footer on the lightbox window. I only want the image galleries to be in the lightbox popup.

    Can you please try to temporarily activate any theme from the Twenty series to see if the problem persists?

    I am afraid that this is a theme related conflict.

    I just activated Twenty Sixteen, Twenty Seventeen, Twenty Nineteen and Twenty Twenty and they all do the same thing as well.

    Could you please check the settings of your Lightbox?
    https://www.imagely.com/docs/lightbox-effects/
    Maybe you are currently in the setting

    You can apply these effects to: NextGen and WordPress images.

    Please, adjust that to

    You can apply these effects to: NextGen Images.

    Ok I tried those settings. If I select NextGen and WordPress Images or NextGen Images, instead of it being a lightbox popup window it just goes to a separate page for that particular gallery. I have tried all of the lightbox types.

    Hello @cwailes,

    Yes, it’s ok to open the lightbox on a separate page, then you can click again, and the lightbox should be visible. That’s the way our Basic Album display works by default.

    Of course, we are using the Pro Lightbox Effect, but it opens the gallery first, and then you can open each image.

    So you are saying there is no way for it to open up the lightbox into a popup window with out upgrading to the Pro Lightbox? I want it to do that once I click on one of the galleries in the album page.

    Hi @cwailes,

    That’s correct. With NextGen Gallery ( free ) you can only open the gallery page first ( where you will be able to see all the gallery’s thumbnails or the slideshow and then click on the thumbnails or on the slideshow to open that specific image in the chosen lightbox effect.

    Opening gallery’s images directly in lightbox from the album page is a Pro Lightbox prerogative only.
