Multisite subdomain Dashboard – Server Error 404 – Please help!

I made the TamiFoto.com a year ago, and works fine.

I made a new subdomain (hochzeit.tamifoto.com). I see now on the top the “My sites” and below, I see my new subdomain’s name. But under that, nothing works – I can’t reach the dashboard, to start editing the new site. It gives me a 404 server error.

I made the changes in the wp-config.php and the .htaccess (below), as on the “Wp Dashboard/Settings/Network setup” written.

I added the new subdomain in the ” My sites / Network admin / Sites” and added myself to the users as admin.

I added the new “A” record to my DNS records.

I added the new subdomain also in plesk.
The original hosting setting (in Plesk) for Document root was /hochzeit.tamifoto.com I changed it to /public_html, it’s the same (404 server error). (Now it’s /hochzeit.tamifoto.com again)

I found lot’s of topics in the forum, (I tried f.E. more versions for the .htaccess and the wp-config.php, different settings in plesk, and also the full removal and start again) but none of them helped me.

If I install the wordpress for the subdomain, I can reach the dashboard and would work, but important: I would like to use the same media files, theme and also the same plugins, so I don’t want to install a new wordpress for the subdomain. It should use everything, what I already have on the server.

So, what should I do now, to solve the problem?

I think you will find your site at: https://tamifoto.com/hochzeit/

In your Network Admin > Sites > Edit > hochzeit > Site Address (URL) > Enter “https://tamifoto.com/hochzeit/” without the quotes. Save Changes.

I don’t wish to change the Site Address, that should be work as hochzeit.tamifoto.com

I have “hochzeit” also in the Menu of Tamifoto.com, so https://tamifoto.com/hochzeit/ really exists.

And https://tamifoto.com/hochzeit/ would seen also in Subdirectory mode, or? And I made a Subdomain, not subdirectory, that should work as hochzeit.tamifoto.com

And the main problem is, that if I click on the “Dashboard” it doesn’t work, independently from the url.

I didn’t notice my typo in first post, I think the end quote mark came out wrong.

https://hochzeit.tamifoto.com/ is only an Apache splash page.

However, https://tamifoto.com/hochzeit/ is your site.

Your hochzeit site is located at latter URL, not at the first URL. Pointing your Site URL to an address that does not have an actual website will cause the issue you are having. There is no website at the URL you are using within the WordPress Network setting.

Try entering https://tamifoto.com/hochzeit/ in the Network Setting and see if you can access the site via the Dashboard.

I tried this 2 in the Network Admin > Sites > Edit > hochzeit > Site Address (URL)

After save, both changed to:
https://tamifoto.com/hochzeit/&/

and i still don’t reach the dashboard, but the result is different.
Now, when I click on the “Dashboard”, I see my TamiFoto.com site’s Menu, and below the “404 Page not Found!”
Same as if my url had error on my tamifoto.com site.

Hmm I tried to change it back, so

Network Admin > Sites > Edit > hochzeit > Site Address (URL) is again
https://hochzeit.tamifoto.com/
But the result doesn’t changed back.

So, thats not “404 server error” with a picture in background anymore, but
“404 Page not Found!”, above with my TamiFoto.com Menu, and (after clicking My Sites – Subdomain Dashboard) the url changed into https://tamifoto.com/hochzeit/&/wp-admin/.

I’m not sure, which result was better? XD

MySites – Subdomain – Dashboard writes still 404 🙁
I don’t know CentOS, that is not my hoster, So what is working properly and what should I do to manage the subdomain?
