Incorrect dir

I installed WP v1.2.2, followed all the directions, did everything correctly, blah blah blah. During the installation process, the script correctly “guessed” the location of WP… however, it did not seem to retain it. When I attempt to log in, I do not get sent to the right directory. All the WP files are located in acid-stars.com/wp/ but /wp/wp-login.php tries to patch me through /wp-admin/post.php, not /wp/wp-admin/post.php … and silly me cannot figure out how I can fix this problem.

I apologize if that ↑ makes little sense, but I am not so good with the jargon. I appreciate any & all help! :)
