• Howdy,

I’m kind of a wordpress newb, so forgive me.

I’m creating a photoblog and the front page has multiple loops pulling images from different categories:

    Featured
    Photographer Interview
    Project of the Week
    Photo of the week

The odd bit is, I have a category named “Featured” and it refuses to display the post. All of the other categories work just fine. The REALLY weird part is if I make a new category and replace the featured call in the loop, it works fine.

Is there some sort of weird process WordPress does for a generic category like “Featured” i am not aware of?

    Thanks

  • A basic WP install does not have a “Featured” category. Not does it do anything with such a category. This kind of display is completely theme (or plugin) dependant. I can only suggest that you check your theme’s template for your front page.
