Hi @xszejdi,
Please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page, click on the “Rebuild Phrases” button. Then go to Dashboard > Forums > Phrases admin page, find that phrase and translate it.
Please donβt forget to delete phrase cache in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page and press CTRL+F5 on the frontend before checking.

Hope You know already what i mean. Phrases translation doesn’t work after the bell window opened. Is there way to ‘display; none’ this in css? can’t find the class or ID.
Best.
@xszejdi,
We just updated the core without new version release. Please follow to this instruction:
1. Deactivate wpForo
2. Then delete wpForo plugin
3. Then search and install the plugin again
4. Delete all caches
5. navigate to forum frontend and press Ctrl+F5 twice to reset browser cache and load new JS files.
Will i lose all saved changes in settings?
@xszejdi, I don’t believe you would, most configurations and settings are saved on the database tables, and those will not be removed when you delete and re-install the plugin (Unless you manually delete those too)
What a great support! I just made a copy of the language file before doing that and it works! Thank You.
@xszejdi
How did you detect the new phrases to translate? I’ve translated (with Loco translate) only the front end phrases so installing a new version would make me have to click on all possible options in the front end to find the new phrases to translate. Do you have a better idea?
With best regards,
bb
Hi @bba01,
wpForo has a built-in Front-end Phrase System in Dashboard > Forums > Phrases admin page. All phrases in this admin page are frontend phrases. You just need to edit and insert translated version. Please read the documentation:
https://wpforo.com/docs/root/translation/quick-translation-phrases/
https://wpforo.com/docs/root/translation/how-to-translate/
@gvectors-team , thank you for the fastest reply ever! π
The problem is that I’ve started to translate with Loco translate and those two systems are not syncing. What I mean is that all the phrases that I’ve translated can’t bee seen in Forum -> Phrases and that means I have to re translate everything.
Is there an easier way of knowing which phrases are new with this release?
With best regards,
bb
Those are synched on front-end. On front, you’ll see translated phrases from both systems. First wpForo looks in PO translation files, if there is no translation it checks the translation in Phrase System. So it doesn’t matter where is a phrase is translated it’ll be displayed from both system.
It’s not necessary to be synched in Forums > Phrases admin page.
@gvectors-team
Yes I understand that. But in Forum -> Phrases, how do I know which phrases I’ve already translated and which phrases need to be translated?
I would like to know the new phrases to translate on the front end for the new release, is that possible?
With best regards,
bb
Hello @bba01!
Hope You are well.
After the plugin installation, i didn’t noticed Phrases in plugin settings. I just started to translate everything in .po file and yeah, i was looking every single word on frontend because i think it’s only one way to have good translated website on the highest level because of different contexts of phrases and You just know how everything should look on the page. After some time i noticed that in .po file some words to translate doesn’t exist so i started adding those phrases in admin panel and i can say i don’t limit myself to one way, i’m using both ways (.po file and admin panel) but You must know that if You translate something in .po file, (You are right, it’s not synched) and then translate in admin panel – phrase will be displayed from admin panel.
Best, Mateusz.
@xszejdi hi and thanks for answering! I also think you need to translate everything via the front end to get it right but that would be easier if @gvectors-team had some kind of list of the new phrases added in the latest release. With best regards, /bb
