Making a simple “RSVP Button” for every event

    Hi all
    I really like this plugin, but I just can’t find the information I need to get the ball rolling the way I want.

    What I want to achieve:
    I give classes. Every week 2. I want to know how many people will show up to each one. So what I need is a reocurring event, that each has a super simple form, lets say consisiting of a simple name field and a “will attend” button. This should automatically show up for every event, every week (always same day and time). That way people can just checkin where they’ll plan to show up, and I’ll see how many will attend.

    What I have failed to do so far:
    Reocurring events was easy. But I just CANT find in the docu or anywhere else, how to design that RSVP form I want to appear in every single event (I dont want to manually put in shortcodes in every single event!). I activated RSVP, now there is a pretty basic form in the events – but I have no idea how and where to edit them to my needs (like I said: Super minimal, Name, “Yes” button, that’s it).

    Would be really cool, if somebody could give me a hand with this.

    Just edit the recurrence and there change the rsvp form to your liking …

    That’s what I keep reading, but I just can’t find the events => form fields page.
    Is that within the “Events made easy” Menue structure? There I have “Events”.
    But nowhere “form fields”.

    I have custom fields, and created one, but that’s not it.

    When you create an event (or a recurrence), you have a RSVP tab in the edit window. That’s where you change all your rsvp parameters. The rsvp form is one of those.     I see what the problem was now.
    Clicking on that button to see the default data (like #_STARTDATE – #_STARTTIME<br />#_TOWN<br />#_NOTES<br />#_ADDBOOKINGFORM<br />#_MAP) does NOT display the data, but an empty field.

    Only when clicking into that field, the data is being displayed!!! that’s why I could never find it!

    Yes leaving it empty means to use the generic default from the ele settings.

    When clicking on the button, to open that field, it should show the default data in it, instead of appearing blank. It’s more accurate, since if left alone, that’s what will actually be used.

    Then it would be more apparent for users, that the default values are being used there.

    as it is right now, a user needs to put the cursor in the field before the default values appear – it should appear right when cascading that field open, don’t you agree?

    Well, it is marked ” Only fill this in if you want to override the default settings.”, so I would assume that is pretty clear. If you change the default, it will have an impact on all rsvp forms that leave this empty (as is intended), while if anything is filled in there it would no longer be changed if someone changes the default (that’s the reason it is empty in fact).

    I don’t like your logic, but I like your patience and support 🙂
    Also, you made an entire plugin and I just hit the “install” button, so I’ll have to accept that you know more about plugins than me haha.
