    I really wish you would just fix the stuff that’s actually wrong with the plugin and stop the tinkering with stuff that wasn’t broken.

    I updated to the latest version and it wiped out all my custom CSS settings so I had to spend a few hours doing that all over again.

    Then the UM Settings / Appearance SET DEFAULT PROFILE PHOTO and COVER PHOTO buttons just straight up stopped working. I click the hell out of it and nothing happens. The browser doesn’t open so I can’t set a default image for the profile or the cover background.

    Then the trying the “edit profile” option, the option to change or add a profile photo works, I upload a photo, then I resize the photo and hit APPLY and NOTHING HAPPENS. It never updates. Just a white circle.

    Then the Members page that shows the individual profile boxes – because there’s no image there, instead there’s just the word “false” showing up and zero profile image at all.

    THEN after the update every registration and profile I had set up for 3 different roles went right back to default forcing me to have to redo every one of those forms all over again.

    I mean COME ON. I see zero updates showing up for the forms – no nifty new features in the form options, it didn’t do anything and yet the update wiped out the custom options. I didn’t see any updates in the CSS customization, for the profiles to be easier to customize and yet the update reset it all to default.

    Don’t you know how to make updates on specific things and not forcing an entire plugin wide reset on whatever it is you actually fixed?

    So, I understand limiting features in the free version so you can hold good stuff hostage so people will pay you but you are out of your mind if you think I’d ever give you money when every update just forces me to start completely over or otherwise breaks what was working just fine. I see people on here requesting support and 0 response.

    There were several things in the pro version I’d been interested in implementing once I had the users to make it worth the purchase but if these problems don’t get fixed in like a day or two, I’m not buying anything and I’m going with a different profile option. This is ridiculous.

    Can you help resolve this in a significant way? Or are you cool losing potential business?

    /end rant…but I’m livid right about now.

    Hi @dprice3,

    I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues after our recent update.
    We always test the new updates on different servers with different settings, themes and plugins, however, it’s not possible to test every theme and every plugin and sometimes issues may occur.

    Firstly, if you customize plugin files directly every update will overwrite your custom code or CSS.

    Secondly, your issues can be caused by some conflict with one of your plugins or your theme. Please do a quick conflict test so we can rule out any conflicts and see if some of these issues go away. Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Please attach your install info file which you can find in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Install info so we can check your settings.

    That seems to be your stock answer – plugin conflict. It’s not a plugin conflict. You know how I know? Because before your update automatically screwed up everything, UM worked perfectly fine with all the active plugins. Then UM updated, wiped out all my custom changes and then the button to upload the default profile image stopped functioning, the default profile image doesn’t upload, there’s the word “false” where the profile pic should be in the members directory listings, and it literally reset the forms to the 3 defaults.

    So no, it’s not a plugin conflict. Nor is it a theme conflict. It’s whatever you did in this update that caused things to malfunction. Since you preferred to just brush it off as a stock plugin conflict instead of looking into it to see what you broke in the profile portion of the plugin, I guess that’s my answer and I’ll look into ProfileGrid or something else where the support forums have mostly stuff about people not knowing how to do something instead of like this one where EVERYTHING is malfunctioning and there’s either zero response from you at all or a stock plugin conflict.
