    Hi, I apologise if this seems a dumb question.

    I have a list of past events which I use a shortcode to show:

    [categories_list hide_empty=0]
    #_CATEGORYPASTEVENTS
    [/categories_list]

    I want to limit the events to show only 10 events and the rest will appear on an archive page. At the moment it shows all the past events, I’ve tried various thing but nothing works, sorry if this is a quick thing just trying to get to grips with short codes.

    Hello,

    Have you tried adding an attiribute limit=”10″
    ie: [categories_list hide_empty="0" limit="0"]

    Yes I tried that with no success, I’m really confused why I can’t reduce the list, any other ideas?

    at the moment you can set it under Events > Settings > Pages > Event Categories > Event List Limits
