Hard to say… what I can tell is that the first click resolves to the correct address, but then WordPress immediately does a 301 Moved Permanently.
My first suggestion, please navigate to the WordPress Permalinks settings admin page. Make no changes, simply visit the page.
Does that fix it?
Hi Steven,
your answer gave me a new clue. It seems like it’s a problem with the plugin “Permalink Manager (Pro)” by Maciej Bis, which supports the many other plugins at the site very well, but with Connections there is a problem.
The permastructures (post types as well as taxonomies) of “Connections” are also not listed in the settings of the “Permalink Manager Pro”.
I’ve disabled the (301) redirect in the settings of the “Permalink Manager Pro” now and “Connections” works so far, but I don’t know if the Permalink Manager is working properly now.

RE: The permastructures (post types as well as taxonomies) of “Connections” are also not listed in the settings of the “Permalink Manager Pro”.
You’ll have to reach out to the support team for Permalink Manager Pro and inquire as to why. Connections does register its permalink structure with WP appropriately. Otherwise they would not work at all. My best guess is Permalink Manager Pro only “looking” at permalinks for custom posts types (CPT) which Connections does not use as Connections is optimized for directories and not pages/posts.
RE: I don’t know if the Permalink Manager is working properly now.
Sorry, I’m not sure I am able to answer this. I guess my questions are… What is the reason you installed Permalink Manager? Does it perform the function for this reason? If you answer yes, then I would assume that Permalink Manager is working.
I hope this helps!
