• Hi,
Just noticed that the related posts are working now, but not for the custom post types. Is there a way to get those working too?

    We checked your issue.
    1. Can you please share your website URL? So we can analyze it and help you fix the issue for you.
    2. Can you please tell me are you using any custom taxonomy of custom post type?

    Hi,
Sorry, it was a long night. I meant ‘categories’ rather than ‘custom post types’.
So I’ve turned off the ‘categories’ part of related posts and its sort-of working, but the related posts shown are really vast and not really related now.
So I’ll turn ‘categories’ back on for your analysis.
    URL for analysis: https://www.midlandsmaidens.com/news/amp/
Categories in there are ‘news’, ‘music box’, ‘secret diary’, and ‘room 101’.
Think I already mentioned that the related posts show up in ‘in content related post’ but that looks really silly in my custom post types so I disabled that.
In all of the categories except the news one (which works fine) there is just one related post showing in the sidebar.
A couple of examples from other categories:
    https://www.midlandsmaidens.com/headspin/amp/
    and
    https://www.midlandsmaidens.com/agency-hopper-applicants/amp/
which has the further strange inaccuracy in that two related posts are showing, but its always the same two posts.

Can you please export the settings and share them with us? We will import that file and try to recreate the same issue from our end.

    How-do-dat-den?
I’ve downloaded an ‘export’ file, where shall I put it?
For info I’ve also changed the permalinks to a custom structure so that categories and posts now show up in the url.

    Hang on, we’ll try this:

    Hi,
We are trying to recreate your issue on our localhost. But we cannot unable to access that codes. It is very hard to recreate the same issue.

Right I dont know if you can make any sense of this, but if I change the related posts to ‘tags’ rather than ‘categories’ they all start to show up.
I reckon the categories option needs a bit of a whack with an iron bar.
    Now set to:
    Horizontal design
    Recent posts turned OFF
Related posts turned on and showing image, no excerpt
Related posts sorted randomly, three posts showing.

We understand your problem. But we cannot recreate the issue on our localhost. And also it’s a very strange issue. Can you please install other WordPress installation and check you have still the same issue or not?

I’m not using amp on any other websites so I’m afraid the answer is no.
One more thing after yesterdays update, all of my amp builder modules for the front page got deleted, so I changed the homepage and everything worked again.
Only reason I found out about this was that google started moaning about there being an error in an amp link on my homepage.

We have created a ticket for this bug. It will be fixing in our future updates.
