config.php not available

    Yes here it’s again. I have changed the various settings in the sample config and renamed it to config.php, then uploaded it, but when i run http://www.robcoers.nl/wp/wp-admin/install.php i get the famous message of that config-file missing.

    Due to X-mas holidays the ISP Helpdesk is closed. Can someone take a close look with me to what is wrong? I checked previous answers to this error in this forum, but none solved my problem. Preferably through an IM program.

    It should be named ‘wp-config.php’
    Have you tried that ?

    Yes, sorry… i already named it wp-config.php

    The problem isn’t the wp-config file:
    http://www.robcoers.nl/wp/wp-admin/wp-admin/setup-config.php

    You’ve two /wp-admin/ in the path.

    And is it in the wordpress directory (the directory in which index.php and wp-layout.css are stored)?

    Yes it is, macmanx.
    And Podz, i don’t understand your msg about two wp-admin in the path, cause i only typed one… …/wp/wp-admin/install.php
    Do i have to change a line in that setup-config.php???

    OK, well, i called with my ISP today and what i can reconstruct of our conversation is, that they do not allow this script to go up a level higher to execute it. So it all has to do with rights and security. And they are not going to change it either.
    Does that make sense to the developers? Rewrite some things?
    The solution would only be, to look out for another hoster.

    I prefer to stick to my current hosting provider, specially if you guys have a solution 🙂
