User password setup for manual registration

Hello,
I have built a member site using UM where the accounts are manually registered by the site admin. Now when I tick the checkbox ‘Send the new user an email about their account’ on the “Add new user” page, the user recieves the generic WP registration email with the link to set the new password. This doesn’t work since the login page is replaced with the UM login page. Now the only way I can let the user set his password is to send him the welcome email with the link to the password reset where he has to enter his email and then get the pass reset link. Putting the {password_reset_link} in the welcome email doesn’t work. Any way to simplify this? Ideally would be to get one email with the special link like the reset password one where the user just enters a new password.
