    Hello.

I have a problem with the SMTP from GMAIL.

I am adding the correct user and pass and when i am going to send a test mail i am getting this error:

“This means we were able to connect to your SMTP host, but were not able to proceed using the email/password in the settings.

Typically this error is returned when the email or password is not correct or is not what the SMTP host is expecting.”

I chenged the less secure apps in my gsuite panel to on but still nothing. I tried with OAuth but when i click on “Allow plugin to send emails using your Google account” and try to connect to my G Account i am getting an arror:

    Server Error
    403
    Forbidden.

Finally when i have the plugin my contact form 7 is not working.

Thank you and i hope to find a solution.

  • Hi @stefanossap,

When you get a chance, could you please share a full error log while sending a Test email using Gmail SMTP? Here’s a screenshot for the option to get full error log: http://cloud.supportally.com/62654c4f3042.

While using ‘Gmail’ mailer, the error you’re having could be due to many reasons. It means the server refuses to authorize your account. Are you receiving this error immediately after clicking the ‘Allow plugin..’ button or after clicking on ‘Allow’ while signing in your Google account?

    Thanks!

Hi @stefanossap – We haven’t heard from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this ticket resolved. If you still have questions, though, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
