Enhancement request – alert about old software

Hi,

I wish to ask for a new feature – that in the update email and possibly also in a dashboard widget – you will alert users about old/outdated plugins, themes and WP itself, so you will surface to their conscious that they use old software that may harm either or both the operational and security aspects of their site.

Add a user config controls where the user can enable/disable this feature, and if enabled – the user will set if it will alert, using individual checkboxes, about WP, themes or plugins.
Then set the alert thresholds – “haven’t been updated in x months/years” and/or “not compatible with the version of WordPress used at this site”
And last – the scheduling of the alert email – every check this plugin runs, once a day/week/month
