Is it possible that the plugin version requires a lot more resources than a stand alone install, because of e.g. wordpress overhead? I was using the stand alone script on a shared webserver without problems, but with the plugin version it had a load>30 (percentage i assume) and got disabled by the hosting company. The chat was laggy too, but i guess that was because of the high load on the server. There were not many users in the chat, 15-20.

  • Were you using the text container or the mysql container? text container will have quite a large memory overhead.

Did you have the logging turned off? .. logging too increases overhead.

Yes, seems to work a lot better with the mysql container, thanks for the tip. I tried to turn off logging too, but it doesn’t seem to save the setting, the check box is not ticked after saving. Bug?

Yeah very well could be, i’ll look at it when I wake up tomorrow thanks for checking that stuff out haraldr

It appears that 0.2.0 had a problem creating the table on fresh installs. Completely my bad. I now have it defaulting as using the mysql container and have it not error out on creation of the database since it already exists.
