• Hi:

I had a weird issue happen recently. The plugin has worked very well, on many websites I develop, but we have one (running Genesis/Market Theme) that was upgraded to WordPress 5.3.2 and PHP 7 and then the Genesis Connect plugin caused the Shop page to disappear. Why I assume it was this plugin, is because it is the only one that if I deactivate it, the Shop page comes back up – BUT the category pages are not populating with products. Any one else having this issue?

I have deactivated all plugins and brought them back up one-by-one without any resolution. I also changed to the Twenty Nineteen theme and I find that the category pages are fine. It appears an issue with Genesis (even the Parent theme) and I assume something that Genesis Connect is not fixing? Not sure, would love some assistance.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Masselyn,

I have this issue as well – I use a customised Genesis sample and tested with the base Genesis sample theme. I tried a non-genesis theme and all works but with Genesis active, I have this exact issue as well.

Is anyone able to release an update to fix this?

    Hi:

I am working with StudioPress about this very issue via their support, because they acknowledge that the plugin has not been completely tested with the newer version of WordPress (I assume this is being worked on). They recommended downgrading to the previous version of WP, but I am hesitant to do that because I don’t want my client running an older version of WP that might have security (or other) issues.

I am testing things, on a staging site, to see if I can narrow down the culprit a little more (whether it is the version of WP, or PHP, or combo of both). If I find a solution, happy to share it here to help others.

In Working with Studiopress we find that WooSwipe (a plugin) caused this issue on one of my client websites (appears to conflict with Genesis Connect). It does not solve the issue on another site I have where neither WooSwipe or Genesis Connect are running, but maybe this might help someone else.
