Error in Upgrade of Plugin

Upgraded from premium version 9.7 to 12.7.1.. I uploaded the plugin via FTP. I received a fatal error that the VENDOR folder did not overwrite the old VENDOR folder. In checking, I see it is the only folder that did not overwrite. My question – do I need to delete the VENDOR folder on the WordPress server and then FTP this 12.7.1 version of the VENDOR folder or should it overwrite with no need to delete old version?

To note: all other folders overwrote the old version with no issue.
