Website crashed after installing Email Encoder 2.0.4

    Hello Email Encoder team,

    I’ve been using the tool since months without issues. Recently i decided to upgrade the tool from version 1.51 to version 2.0.4 After upgrade my website crashed completely.

    I have revert back site from backup and now I am running.
    Email Encoder version- 1.51
    Wordpress version – 5.2.4

    Please let me know how to upgrade successfully Email Encoder plugin and why this crash happened?

    We reworked the plugin completely with version 2.0.0.

    Hi @ironikus – thank you for your response

    As i mentioned, i simple upgrade the plugin to latest version 2.0.4 from 1.51 and my wesbite lost completely the index page. Text was gone and structure as well. Only site background left. In other words website was completely useless. Therefore restore was necessary to happen.

    How i can upgrade the tool without loosing my website?

    Hi @payandplay – Simply upgrading is the way to go but if this causes issues at your end, it might have to do with a third-party plugin or the theme you use.
    To find the actual issue, I need some more information on it to help you solve the problem.
    If you can’t provide log data or some other kind of error message, I suggest you deactivate all the plugins and reactive them one by one to find when your website breaks.

    If this is not possible because you only have a live-system, I suggest you reach out through our website so that we can give you some more dedicated support.

    Can you let me know how to obtain requested information out of wordpress?
    Which logs do you need?

    Of course, @payandplay – Here are some links that should help you activating the log:

    After you have activated the log, simply activate the newest version of our plugin that causes issues. As soon as you see the issue visible on your site, you can deactivate it again and check the log. After that, you should find some more information in the debug.log file, which is located within wp-content/debug.log
