[Plugin: eShop] Discount Codes?

    I’m looking into giving away mp3 downloads with the purchase of a 7″ vinyl release. I want to put a promo code into the packaging sothey can go to the site and add it to he cart and put in the discount code of “free” and get the download for free is that possible? I tried to do a 100% discount, but i really need a dollar amount discount…

    Depends on how you set it up, but via eShop what you ask for isn’t easy to do – you’d have to find a workaround for it.

    I think the discount codes are too limited in eshop. I love the plugin, but there needs to be a way to limit discounts to only certain products. I don’t want to put my entire shop on sale.

    A lot of shopping applications, and plugins, seem to be quite limited in the way that they can handle discount codes. It may not be the easiest part (or most important?) of a plugin/application to develop, so doesn’t seem to be given a very high priority…

    well if you want more advanced features you are quite likely going to have to pay for them.

    i dont have a problem paying for something if the price is reasonable and I get to try it and make sure it works for me first. What attracts to to eShop is not that it is free, so much as that it is easy to use and setup, just like wordpress itself.

    The free part is a GREAT bonus though.
