Google Translate Widget Deprecation

    Hi there,

    I’ve just read that Google has deprecated its Translate Widget which my clients had originally planned to use on their site. We’re thinking of using this plugin now instead but does it rely on the same Translate Widget and will soon stop working? Or will this plugin carry on working and if so what will it use instead?

    Google Translate Widget is already deprecated, but Google Language Translator still works.

    So you can confirm that the plugin won’t suddenly stop working if we choose to use it?

    Hi,

    There is no any information about it from Google. If they decide to shutdown the service entirely (which I do not think will happen), they will announce it.

    The current announcement is that they are stopping providing Translate Widget for new websites.
