can’t publish a post

    hi folks,

    I’ve got one of those “can’t publish a post” issues.

    It’s on the site: http://magdaleno.org and the post is: http://magdaleno.org/index.php/?p=271

    I can navigate around WP just fine, and I can create a post without any problems. It does the autosave just fine. Just can’t publish. I’ve reinstalled WP, double-checked my “publish” date, tried it in three different browsers (FF, Safari, and IE) and on both my Mac and my PC.

    When I hit “save draft” or “publish” it just hangs and hangs, indicating that it’s “loading”. On my PC I kept getting an error message that said the server was reset.

    I manage about 5 other wordpress sites and none of them are having this issue. I can log out and go try to post on another site and it works just fine.

    my guess would be a plugin conflict
    deactivate all
    test
    and reactivate one by one

    thanks, samboll.

    I tried deactivating all the plugins and that didn’t work either.

    as it turns out, i now can create and post short entries to the site, but if I try to modify or change anything, it does this “hanging” thing.

    appreciate any/all suggestions. I’m really stumped.

    Add this code in htaccess and have a check:

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>

    thanks! tried the htaccess entry and now I’ve got posts that will, at the very least, autosave, so I can actually “publish” those posts by then reverting to the autosaved version of my choice. it’s not optimal, naturally, but it works for the moment.

    I still get a “loading” hang when I click the “publish” button. it’s so strange.

    really appreciate all the help.
