Yes, thanks. Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see any option there that would display checkboxes for the categories.
The issue seems to be that settings are not taking. I’ve used troubleshooting mode, I’ve disabled all other plugins. There doesn’t seem to be a conflict that I can tell.

You can select Checkbox in “Standard Taxonomy layout” in Frontier Post advanced settings, Select it per user profile under Frontier Post Capabilities for Category or add it in the shortcode:
Or use shortcode – Example of shortcode with two taxonomies:
(frontier-post frontier_custom_tax=”group,article-type” frontier_custom_tax_layout=”readonly,checkbox”)
Used “(” in the example instead of brackets as it does not always work in WordPress as it tries to use the shortcode
Thanks for replying so quickly! It really means a lot. 🙂
I have all of the settings correct, but they just aren’t taking? I thought the custom taxonomy layout would only be for custom taxonomies.
So, a couple of things. There seems to be two different versions of the form, depending upon which button I click. By default, there are two buttons that say “new post”. The big, long one seems to maybe present the settings I’ve listed (possibly?). The other short one does not. However, there is not a way to hide the short one. I can only hide the long one (by clicking the check box in the settings).
It’s a bit confusing to have two boxes that do the same thing but… different. The shorter box did not show up until I started using the Frontier Buttons plugin.
So, there’s that. Also, the categories don’t seem to be nested under parent categories. Is there a way to fix that? I have a ton. 🙁
I included the URL to the page in question. Maybe you can see what I mean.
Thanks again!
I take back the nesting. The dashes are there. They were just light on my theme. But is there a way to get ride of the shorter button? Or at least make it behave like the long one?

If you clear settings from the shortcode, and use Checkbox in the Role Based settings for each role it works for category

And remove check in “Use Quick Post” in general settings to avoid the extra add form
Ah, perfect. Thank you so much! I really appreciate your assistance. 🙂
I guess I was really confusing the Quick Post vs regular (just in case any future people have the same mixup).
Thanks again! 😀
