Theme Broken

I like this theme but it’s broken. I can add pages but with no text, which is kind of pointless. What I mean by this is that I can add a page with a title, add text and publish or update and all my text disappears. Also there is something wrong with the permalink structure because wordpress says that it can’t edit the .htaccess file.
