    Hi there,

I created an archive for my blog posts (which I call “publikationen”). I want “publikationen” to be included in the main menu at the top (as it is right now). The link to this heading now looks like this:

My question is: Can I get rid of the “/category” in the link? If so, how?

Thank you very much for your help in advance!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • To change your permalink structure go to Setting==>> Permalink and choose post name structure. once you have setup you have redirect all you existing permalink to new one.

there are various methods to setup redirect but i recommend to use Simple 301 Redirects plugin.

    Hi Amar,

thank you for your reply. I know how to change the settings of a blog post. The permalink of my blog posts is displayed correctly: domain/postname.

It’s the link to the archive that’s not displayed as I want it to be. I want it to just show “domain/publikationen” instead of the current “domain/category”publikationen”.

I don’t know how to get rid of the “/category” in the URL.

    😉

You might try a rewrite but I’d just leave it alone myself. Rewrites are cool when needed but can be difficult and sometimes disappointing. Test… test… and test again.
