This is not a known issue, however I am aware that I should try and add some more languages. This is on the Todo list but due to lack of time..
Is it my understanding you added the .mo & .po within the language folder?
As a short term solution; would you be able to modify the settings to French?

when i use polylang to translate my portfolios, all its categories aren’t visible anymore and is replace by the pages’s language now..
I tried to create a parent category and show it like this [show_post_categories show=”category” hyperlink=”yes” parentcategory=”category”] but it just hide the language…

It´s best to undo the Polylang translation. There is no Polylang support included for the moment but it is now on the roadmap. However, this will take some time.
If you need to translate to your native language you can do this through the settings menu; that´s settings – Show Post Categories screenshot
Can you tell me what language is needed for you, and would you be willing to share this so I can include it once we´re ready for production?
