  • This is a PHP 7.X issue, so what’s important is that the PHP version on the website’s sever is updated to the latest version: 7.3.11, 7.2.24, 7.1.33. As PHP 7.1 will cease to receive security updates from 1 December 2019, this is a useful reminder of the importance of a) making sure you regularly update, and b) ensuring that the applications used are still being maintained.

The PHP bug has nothing do do with WordPress, and it only affects nginx webservers. Those running Apache or Litespeed webservers are unaffected.
