Real Cron UpDraftPlus

Any info would be helpful. Before I add the following into my wp-config.php and create a “real cron job” (every thirty minutes, recommended by Siteground) I wanted to make sure UDPlus would still work (I do all backups manually) ….

define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true);

Do I “get the green light” to proceed disabling wp cron and creating a real cron job with no UpDraftPlus issiues?
