Comment Form could not be found

I’m using WP 2.8.4 and the problem is my most recent blog post has no comment form but the previous comments are still there while the rest of the older posts have the comment form in place. Any idea how to resolve this one? I have tried playing with various themes having in mind that it’s theme-specific problem using the theme tester plugin but the result is similar.
