• Are there any calendars plugins that are easy to use? Everything I’ve found requests you add 10 lines of info (Title, Description, Start Date, End Date, Start Time, End Time, etc etc etc) for every event which is crazy time consuming. Ideally I would love to edit in a calendar view that I can just type anything I want into each day and have it show up in a widget and full size cal. I know it’s a lot to ask for but everything seems to needlessly complicate the calendar issue. I would be willing to put money up for a simple solution but can’t seem to find anything that simple!? Anyone have any suggestions for calendars or want to code a simple one? Thanks!

  • I have spent a heap of time looking myself.

The best thing I have found so far is a PHP calendar from Comdev.com

It has a full demo and admin console which will refresh each hour and that allows you to play with the on line demo. I have extensively tested it and it is easy to use and has pretty much all you need for a calendar. We will use it for a sailing club to show racing and Hall hires.

It is a stand alone PHP package but does need Zend and IonCube plug ins loaded on yr ISP server side. GoDaddy does allow both. It is not available in WordPress but I can’t see what you couldn’t plug it in on a page.
