One moment please … lasts for ever

    The page with cform2 form has today frozen on submit, The text One moment please remains on screen and the submit button remains greyed out.
    WordPress 4.8.11
    Cforms2 Version 14.14

    The form was working yesterday and I am not aware of any changes.

    I have tried to update the plugin via the wordpress plugin page but this times out leaving the site in maintenance mode.

    So I seem to have two possibly linked problems cforms2 suddenly not working and my wp site noy updating the plugin.

    I would welcome any suggestions.

    Update. I manually re installed cforms2 to version . Now the form is giving an error “Please fill in all the required fields.” even though all fields have been completed,

    I edited the form and remove all the required ticks and tried a refresh of the page and re submit the form. Now the “One moment please .. ” error has returned!!

    Help!!

    Update 2
    Reset the required ticks. Forms now seems to process although it felt that it was slow to respond. I wonder if there was a page cached from before the update.

    So looks as though a manual update worked to resolve the original problem. I am still not sure why the update via wordpress did not work.
