Simple HTML issues in posts

    When I copy basic HTML (tables, TR, TD, etc)into the HTML tab on a new page, when published, it shows up with random formatting (e.g. table borders when I specify no border). Anyway to allow just plain HTML in pages, with no WP formatting? Tried Raw HTML plugin but didnt work, at least on pages.
