    Hi,

    How are you doing?

So my website coder hasn’t used Next Gen in a long time, but he speaks highly of your plugin.

I don’t know when this broke, but now I’m getting this error (see Topic Title)

Also, on the same site, we are also using ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7 & that’s not working (the captcha button doesn’t show up) & we narrowed it down to being a Next Gen issue.

Can you tell me what the issue is with my template & also talk to the other plugin developer about fixing the issue between you two?

    It would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

  • First of all, please provide us with the gallery shortcode that you are trying to use and make sure that it isn’t a custom template file that’s unavailable.

As for the Contact Form 7 reCaptcha, I see from the Plugin Author’s reply that they haven’t been able to replicate the issue in the past. Have you tried to deactivate all the other plugins to see if there aren’t any other plugins conflicting?

Ok, here is the code for the template, he doesn’t know where to find anything to do with templates.

    <div style=”text-align: center;”></div>

As for the plugins, what actually happened is that Contact 7 wasn’t working & that’s when we turned off all of the plugins & realized it was NexGen Gallery that was causing the issue, not the other way around.

And he doesn’t feel like turning off ALL the other plugins to try & test each one.

    Thanks

I understand. In this case, you can try to setup a staging site with just NextGen Gallery and Contact Form 7 plugins to see if you will be able to replicate the issue

Why would we do more work than testing all the plugins? LOL

Anyway, we turned off ALL of the plugins & it’s still not working, but we figured out the issue (at least part of the issue)… somehow the template was set to a path to an old hoster I had used. Have you fixed that issue since then?

So we fixed that which then updated your code to your most recent version and then we found the plugin that caused a second issue. It wasn’t allowing the images to pop up in a lightbox.

It’s the WP html compression plugin.

So now it’s working, but can you put an X to close b/c most people still don’t know they have to click inside the image.

I know that a tooltip shows up briefly, but since most people rush to click on the arrows, I never saw it.

    Thanks

Great to see that the original problem has been solved. Yes-it will require you to manually update the template if changing the server or the custom template’s path.

I will be happy to add a feature request vote ref including a close icon for Shutter lightbox effects.
