Where do I modify the plugins for my wordpress themes?

    I am trying to find out where the “plugins” directory is on wordpress so I can add some meta tags plugin.

    Also, this probably sounds really dumb, but is there a difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org?

    There is a difference with wordpress.COM, a free blogging service using WPMU, and wordpress.ORG, an organization the produces and distributes WordPress.

    See Managing Plugins for plugin installation info. Note that wordpress.COM does not allow you to install plugins.
