Robots.txt file quesiton

Just a quick question about the robots.txt file.

I’d rather not have my login page indexed by search engines. I could use the robots.txt file to limit it from view but someone suggested I could simply restrict all files and directories that are wp-

Is that true?

Would restricting wp- possibly block any of my pages or articles from search engines?
